President Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, commented on how his presidency will be viewed by future generations.

“We all know we are fighting on the right side of history,” Lara Trump told ‘Fox Friends’ while answering a question about how the Trump family deals with critics. “We all sleep well at night knowing that we are behind a man who is leading this country in the right direction, who will go down in history as one of the greatest presidents we’ve ever had.”

While some may not agree with her assertion, President Trump most likely would, considering he’s repeatedly touted his accomplishments as president.

“My administration, I think, has had the most successful first year in the history of the presidency,” Trump told the audience during a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in February of last year. “I really believe that…I mean, judges, regulations, everything.”

Those remarks echoed what he wrote in a tweet in 2017.

“Perhaps no Administration has done more in its first 9 months than this Administration. Over 50 Legislation approvals, massive regulation cuts, energy freedom, pipelines, border security, 2nd Amendment, Strong Military, ISIS, historic VA improvement, Supreme Court Justice, Record Stock Market, lowest unemployment in 17 yrs!” Trump tweeted.

And a few weeks prior, Trump told Republican lawmakers that veteran Senator Orrin Hatch had called him “the single greatest president in his lifetime.”

Trump was quoted as adding about Hatch: “He actually once said I’m the greatest president in the history of our country.”

Despite Trump’s comments, a spokesperson for Hatch later indicated that the senator had been misquoted.
