Rexam appoints new non executive director

Rexam PLC, the global consumerpackaging company, announces that Leo Oosterveer isto join the Board as an independent non executive director on 1 September 2011.

Leo is currently leading the globalfoodservice division of Unilever, one of the world’s leading suppliers of fastmoving consumer goods. He started his career with Unilever, before setting uphis own consultancy. He returned to Unilever in 1996. From 2002 to 2006 he was chairman/CEOof Unilever in Thailand and Indochina whose operations are mainly focused on homeand personal care products.

Commenting on the appointment, SirPeter Ellwood, Rexam’s chairman, said: “We aredelighted to welcome Leo to Rexam. He is astrong operational leader with a proven track record in marketing,sales and strategy development gained both in Europe and Asia. His globalmanagement experience will be a great asset to the Board and to Rexam.”
