FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Savenergy Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADCC), a leading global manufacturer of innovative energy saving technology, today announced that they have been awarded an LED lighting installation project by NYC’s S. Katzman Produce in Hunts Point Terminal Market in the Bronx.
S. Katzman selected Savenergy LED lights to be installed in their facilities. “We are happy to work with Savenergy since their LED lights will consume up to 80% less energy than standard HID and fluorescent lights and last up to 5 times longer,” states Mario Andreani, General Manager of S. Katzman Produce. “Additionally, since Savenergy LED lights do not contain mercury, unlike fluorescent lamps, they are safe for the environment.”
The S. Katzman Produce facility is one of the largest operations in the Hunts Point Market and has a total of 225,000 square feet of refrigerated cold storage, separated into various climate controlled environments. They have installed state of the art computer and inventory systems to insure proper rotation of stock at all times and their cold storage is equipped with temperature alarms, which alert in real time of any variance to the temperature range.
The Katzman family has been in the wholesale produce distribution business for three generations and is one of the largest produce operations in the Hunts Point Terminal Market. Their customer base has grown over the years and now reaches the entire Northeast of the United States along with international customers in Canada, Europe, and the North Atlantic
Savenergy LED lights have been tested and certified by Luminaire Testing Laboratory Inc. (LTL), a sustaining member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) with the highest scores for LED lighting thus far. For example, Savenergy LED lights have been verified to achieve a Luminaire Efficacy of 114 LPW, a remarkable improvement from their already impressive previous score of 93.1 LPW.
“We are thrilled with the latest results of the LM79 and LM80 tests conducted by LTL as it was an unbiased evaluation of our luminaire’s photometric performance and lifetime tests. This same organization has also tested LED lighting from all major lighting electrical companies who have generally received scores in the 70-85th percentile, scores that are vastly lower than our LED lights”, explains John H. Choi, CEO and President of Savenergy. The LTL lab reports provide credible third party evidence that Savenergy lighting products are indeed the brightest and most cost effective LED lights available in today’s marketplace.
