President Preparing for Housing Policy Speech

President Obama is slated to make a housing policy speech in Phoenix on what can be done to boost the housing recovery and help underwater homeowners.

On Tuesday the president will travel to Desert Vista High School in Phoenix to lay out his plan to continue to help responsible homeowners and those Americans who seek to own their own homes, according to a White House press release.

The next day, the president will participate in a housing roundtable event hosted by Zillow chief executive Spencer Rascoff where homeowners, renters and prospective homebuyers can ask the president questions.

The Aug. 7 housing roundtable will be streamed live at 1 p.m. (EDT) and 10 a.m. (PDT).

“I’m thrilled for Zillow to host this discussion and help connect U.S. homeowners and renters with the president for a better understanding of how housing policy can impact their future,” Rascoff said.
