Carrington Mortgage Services in Santa Ana, Calif., has hired a former JPMorgan Chase Co. executive to lead its mortgage lending operations.
Jeff Scannicchio, who for the last seven years was senior vice president and operations executive at JPMorgan, has been appointed senior vice president of Carrington’s mortgage lending operations.
Scannicchio also held senior leadership positions for over 15 years with Citigroup, Fleet Financial Group and Associates First Capital Corp. He is a senior financial services executive with operational experience in the commercial, residential and home equity sectors, according to his LinkedIn profile.
At Carrington, he will manage the national mortgage lending division and support efforts to further grow its functional capacity, efficiency and market share, the company said in a press release Tuesday.
Carrington also opened new branches in Warrenton, Va., Plano and Houston, Texas, and Fishers, Ind., marking the company’s expansion into new markets.
The company appointed several experienced managers who will run the new branches, including Jessica Furr in Warrenton, Mike Denton in Plano, Oliver de Boer in Houston, and Ryan Higley in Fishers.
During its expansion efforts Carrington will remain “sharply focused on servicing the underserved market,” said Ray Brousseau, executive vice president of Carrington’s mortgage lending division. Earlier this year Carrington lowered its minimum credit requirement to a 550 FICO score and expanded its eligibility guidelines on a number of loan programs and property types and added a branch in Virgina to best serve borrowers with a “sub-640 FICO score range.”
