Members of the Mortgage Industry Equity Composite had a banner day on Wednesday, with 15 of the 17 stocks closing higher than they did on Tuesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average set a new record high.
The only stocks to lose ground were CoreLogic, down 3.78%, and KB Home, down 1.1%.
On the other hand, OceanFirst Financial led the way with an increase of 3.02%, followed by Radian at 2.69% and Astoria Financial at 2.65%.
There were a total of eight MIEC stocks which had gains greater than 2% during trading.
Meanwhile, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, both which had seen gains in their stock prices in recent weeks, closed trading down $0.05 and $0.03 per share, respectively.
