The board that oversees Rhode Island’s convention centers is getting two new members.
Gov. Lincoln Chafee also reappointed three members to the eleven-member board of commissioners for the Rhode Island Convention Center Authority.
The new appointments are businessman James S. Bennett and GTECH Corp. executive Scott Gunn. Chafee reappointed Letitia Carter, George H. Nee and Dale J. Venturini.
Chafee says the board members understand the need to use the state’s convention centers to create jobs and bolster the economy.
The appointments were announced Friday.
