This 1956 Lancia Aurelia sold at one of the nation’s premier collector car auctions recently for $266,000. Gooding Co. the auction house, left it like this — dirt, grime, cracked upholstery and all — because, if they cleaned it, it wouldn’t have been worth as much, said Gooding specialist Garth Hammers.
