CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick is using his speech to the Democratic National Convention to slam Mitt Romney and call on Democrats to stand up for President Barack Obama.
Patrick said Tuesday that Mitt Romney talks about all the things he’s fixed, but Massachusetts isn’t one of them.
Patrick has been traveling around the country stumping for Obama. A political action committee formed last year to fund his travels and other activities on the president’s behalf had raised $1.3 million as of June.
He told Democrats on Tuesday night that if they want to win elections, they need to stiffen their backbone and stand up for what they believe. He said that includes telling the story of what Obama has done in office.
