Obama set to return to Boston for 2nd fundraiser

President Barack Obama is set to make a return trip to Boston to help pad his reelection campaign account.

A fundraiser is planned for Wednesday at the Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts in the city’s South End neighborhood. It’s the second time this year the Democratic president has traveled to Boston.

In March, Obama visited TechBoston, a pilot school, before attending a fundraiser at the Museum of Fine Arts.

Obama is building up his campaign war chest ahead of next year’s election.

Massachusetts is a Democratic stronghold and gave Obama a wide margin of support in the 2008 election.

Gov. Deval Patrick is a friend of the president and one of his strongest political supporters. Patrick has said he plans to campaign for Obama during the upcoming election.
