Getting a commitment is the first step to getting a voter to the polls. And as voting continues in Ohio and in other states throughout the country, it’s incredibly important right now.
Once you’re familiar with voting locations and hours where you live, you’ll be set to have conversations with anyone—whether at people’s doorsteps on a Saturday afternoon canvass or when you bump into your friend grocery shopping. Encourage everyone you meet to make a plan to get to the polls or vote early if they can.
“Are you free during your lunch break at 1:00 p.m. on Monday? Can you carpool with a coworker?” Get that conversation started and end it with a vote for President Obama!
